Cows

For several years around 1915, Sweden was suffering from famine and food shortage. People had begun migrating to the cities and unemployment rose following the economic downturn due to WWI. To ensure that Skanska personnel could be provided some milk and nutrition, four cows were bought and housed in the horse stable on Surbrunnsgatan in central Stockholm.
