    Skanska divests Walsall Manor Hospital, UK, for GBP 17 M, about SEK 184 M

    Skanska has sold its investment in Walsall Manor Hospital near Birmingham, UK, to Barclays Infrastructure Funds Management Limited for around GBP 17 M, about SEK 184 M. The transaction will be recorded in the fourth quarter of 2012.

    Skanska held a 50 percent equity share in the project company responsible for the financing, design, construction and operation of the hospital under a public private partnership scheme, which reached financial close in November 2007. Skanska’s equity partner is Innisfree, who holds the remaining 50 percent share in the project company.

    Operations commenced in May 2011 and under a separate contract, Skanska is responsible for the hard facilities services at the hospital. The company will continue to deliver these services at Walsall Manor, today’s announcement purely relates to Skanska’s divestment of its equity interests in the project company
