We have been chosen by our client Petrobras to construct the Atmospheric and Vacuum Distillation Unit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This is one of the main Units of the new Rio de Janeiro Petrochemical Complex (Comperj). The Unit will have the capacity to process approximately 150 thousand barrels per day. All crude that enters the new refinery will pass through this unit, where it will be distilled into different components that later will be sent to the different processing units. Skanska, with a 40 % share, leads the SPE joint venture, in which Promon and Engevix are also participants. The scope of the contract includes: consistency analysis of the client’s basic project, engineering, supply materials and teams, civil construction, electro-mechanical assembly, commissioning, turn key and assistance to the operation.
