Changes in Skanska Senior Executive Team
Executive Vice President Rich Cavallaro, who currently oversees the U.S. operations, has chosen to move into his former role as Business Unit President for Skanska USA Civil. In this role, Rich Cavallaro will focus on restoring the profitability in the USA Civil business and, as a consequence, he will step out of the Senior Executive Team. Rich will replace Mike Cobelli, who will take on the role of senior advisor and support Rich in the turnaround of the business.
Anders Danielsson, today Executive Vice President overlooking Skanska Infrastructure Development and Skanska UK, will keep the responsibility for Infrastructure Development globally and also take on U.S. operations including Skanska USA Civil, USA Building and USA Inc.
Peter Wallin will in addition to his current Executive Vice President role as Chief Financial Officer extend his role and take on responsibility for Skanska UK.
Pierre Olofsson will remain responsible for the Nordic construction units but also take on the Group responsibility for Safety.
All changes will be effective as of June 1.
“Anders has consistently driven results in the Nordics and has a deep understanding of our global infrastructure development operations. I am confident he will bring his global perspective, collaborative mindset and operational acumen to our U.S. operations.
Peter Wallin has an excellent overview of the business and I feel very confident with him broadening his Executive Vice President role and international experience with the responsibility for UK.
I want to thank Rich for his valuable contribution to the Senior Executive Team and I appreciate him offering to taking on the task of bringing the business back to consistent profitability. I also want to thank Mike Cobelli for his years of dedicated service and leadership during a critical time of change”, says Johan Karlström, CEO and President, Skanska AB.
