The Group website of Skanska, www.skanska.com, has been ranked top three among Sweden’s 100 largest listed companies in KWD Webranking 2012-2013.

– It is fantastic to see how our joint efforts within external digital communications are rewarded in this way. Going from a tenth place last year, this is a confirmation that we are working in the right direction towards fulfilling the demands of our target groups, says Nina Björn, Group External Digital Communications Manager, Skanska.

Skanska advanced to the third place going from tenth place in 2011. SCA came in first place, Swedish Match second.

Ranking nearly 1,000 corporate websites globally

KWD Webranking is the biggest and most recognized ranking of corporate websites globally, giving in-depth analysis of digital corporate communications across the largest publicly listed companies in the world. It is produced by KW Digital, the digital corporate communications agency of King Worldwide, covering nearly 1,000 corporate websites from across the globe in the 2012-2013 edition.

In the European rankings, presented at the KWD Webranking Forum in London on November 29, Italian telecom company Telecom Italia won and Skanska improved from thirtyfifth to the seventeenth place in competition with the 500 largest companies in Europe.

Based on target groups representatives demands

KWD Webranking reviews the English language version of corporate websites (excluding the commercial sections), social media channels and Google Search using a research protocol that directly reflects target groups’ needs. The protocol is based on what investors, analysts, business journalists and job seekers say they want to find on a corporate website.
