Skanska builds highway in Czech Republic for CZK 2.7 billion, about SEK 920 M
Skanska has signed a contract with The Road and Motorway Directorate for construction of a new part of the D1 motorway between Lipník nad Bečvou and Přerov, Czech Republic.The contract is worth CZK 2.7 billion, about SEK 920 M, which will be included in order bookings for Skanska Czech Republic for the second quarter of 2015.
The project includes construction of 14 kilometers of the D1 motorway, with 24 bridges, three interchanges, more than seven kilometers of sound barriers and retaining walls.
Construction work will start soon and is due to be completed in 2019.
Skanska Czech Republic, which is one of the country largest construction companies, had sales in 2014 of 4.8 billion SEK.
The company has about 4,000 employees in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Skanska in the Czech Republic is also active in the development of office buildings through Skanska Commercial Development Europe and residential development through Skanska Realty.
