Skanska expands and renovates Gulf Coast Medical Center in Florida, USA, for USD 178M, about SEK 1.5 billion

Skanska has signed a contract with Lee Memorial Health System to expand and renovate the Gulf Coast Medical Center in Fort Myers, Florida, USA. The total contract value is USD 200M. Skanska, leading a joint venture with Gates Construction, will include its full 89 percent share of the contract, worth USD 178M, about SEK 1.5 billion, in the order bookings for Skanska USA Building in the second quarter 2016.

The project, 34,000-square-meter of new construction and about 4,500-square-meter of renovations, will include three additional floors along with numerous horizontal expansions. Additionally, a 1,300-space parking structure will be built.

Skanska will begin construction in June 2016. The project is slated for completion in February 2021.
