Skanska renovates facilities in New York City, USA, for USD 40M, about SEK 340M
Skanska has signed a contract with NYU Langone Health to provide computational research facilities and office space for NYU Langone’s Department of Population Health in New York City, USA. The contract is worth USD 40M, about SEK 340M, which will be included in the US order bookings for the fourth quarter 2017.
Skanska will provide Construction Management Services and renovate about 8,100 square meters of office space across ten floors at 180 Madison Avenue, providing NYU Langone with new facilities to conduct research and computer modeling to develop individualized health care solutions for patients. Skanska will fit out the existing vacant floors with dry research facilities, conference rooms and offices, auditoriums, and other common areas. The project will seek LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold certification.
Construction is ongoing and the project is targeted for completion in 2018.
