Skanska builds collegiate facility in Pennsylvania, USA, for USD 47M, about SEK 400M
Skanska has signed a contract with Swarthmore College to build a Biology, Engineering and Psychology (BEP) facility at their campus in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania. The contract award is worth USD 47M, about SEK 400M, which will be included in the US order bookings for the fourth quarter 2017.
In addition to providing an expanded, modern space for biology, engineering, and psychology, the about 15,000-square-meter BEP facility -planned as a model for environmentally intelligent construction practices aligned with Swarthmore’s new sustainability standard - will support the Swarthmore campus community by strengthening interdisciplinary connections between academic departments across the curriculum.
Construction of the project began in June 2017 and is to be completed in August 2020.
