Skanska sells office building in Lodz, Poland, for EUR 52M, about SEK 510M

Skanska has sold the office building Nowa Fabryczna in Lodz, Poland, to the real estate fund manager Niam for EUR 52M, about SEK 510M. The transaction will be recorded by Skanska Commercial Development Europe in the first quarter 2018, with the transfer of the property scheduled for the third quarter 2018.

Lodz office

Nowa Fabryczna is located in the New City Center in Lodz, which will combine business, commerce, residential and transport functions. It offers over 22,600 square meters leasable area and is leased to tenants such as Fujitsu, Whirlpool, Cybercom and McCormick. It is located opposite the recently completed state-of-the-art Lodz Fabryczna train station.

The project received LEED Gold certification (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design). It will also be certified as a "Building without barriers" for its accessible design and inclusiveness for people with disabilities.
