Skanska builds new schools in Silverdale, USA, for USD 78M, about SEK 630M

Skanska has signed a contract with the Central Kitsap School District to build a new high school and middle school facility in Silverdale, Washington, USA. The contract is worth USD 78M, about SEK 630M, which will be included in the US order bookings for the first quarter 2018.

Silverdale School - Integrus Architecture

The new 30,000 square meter Central Kitsap High School and Middle School is designed to serve 2,100 students on the site of the existing school campus. The facility will feature flexible educational spaces with state-of-the-art technology. The existing middle school will be demolished with the exception of its gymnasium, which will be modernized and upgraded. The campus and its reconstructed fields will be made more accessible, providing opportunities for sports and other community events.

Construction is under way and will be completed in time for the 2019-20 school year.
