Skanska invests NOK 566M, about SEK 580M in the office project Parallell in Oslo, Norway, with a total leasable area of 19,500 square meters. The construction contract is worth NOK 418M, about SEK 430 million, which will be included in the Nordic order bookings for the first quarter 2018.
The project is located in Lören, Oslo's largest development area, less than three kilometers from the city center, where new housing, offices, green areas and commercial areas are being developed. The area is close to Ring 3 and is easily accessible by public transport, on foot and by bicycle.
Parallel is designed to meet the requirements of the environmental certification BREEAM NOR Excellent, and Skanska's patented Deep Green Cooling system will be used in the building. Skanska also has the ambition for the building to be WELL certified. WELL is based on medical and scientific research and is based on how the built environment affects people and combines best practices in design and construction.
The project will begin immediately and the office building will be completed in spring 2020.
