Skanska renovates the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, USA, for USD 118M, about SEK 1 billion

Skanska has signed a contract with the Metropolitan Museum of Art to reconstruct the historic skylights and renovate attic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems in Wings A, B, and C of the Museum. This contract is worth USD 118M, about SEK 1 billion, which will be included in Skanska’s order bookings for the third quarter 2018.

Construction on the project is underway and is scheduled to finish in December of 2021.

Skanska also offers services in public-private partnerships. Skanska USA had sales of SEK 59 billion in 2017 and had about 9,500 employees in its operations.
