A lease agreement has been signed with Vardaga, who will be responsible for operating the retirement home, which covers approximately 5,600 square meters and will be five floors high.

The retirement home, which is being developed and built by Skanska Sweden, will meet high sustainability requirements and is going to be LEED certified. It will have very low energy consumption and will, among other things, be equipped with solar cells on the roof. The building will be erected exclusively with sustainable building materials and no building waste will go to landfill.

The building is under construction and will be completed in January 2022.

Skanska is one of the leading development- and construction companies in the Nordics, with operations in building construction and civil engineering in Sweden, Norway and Finland, and developing residential- and commercial property projects in select home markets. The commercial development stream is also active in Denmark. Skanska had sales of about SEK 70 billion and more than 15,200 employees in its Nordic operations during 2019.
