Skanska builds school in Lund, Sweden, for SEK 630 M
Skanska has signed a contract with the municipality of Lund to build the Hedda Anderssongymnasiet in Lund. The contract is worth SEK 630 M, which will be included in the order bookings for Sweden for the second quarter 2020.
Hedda Anderssongymnasiet is a high school that will seat 2,200 students. The building has a total area of approximately 25,000 square meters and will be four floors high.
Construction will begin in late June 2020 by demolition of the current school. The new school is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2023.
Skanska is one of the leading development- and construction companies in the Nordics, with operations in building construction and civil engineering in Sweden, Norway and Finland, and developing residential- and commercial property projects in select home markets. The commercial development stream is also active in Denmark. Skanska had sales of about SEK 70 billion and more than 15,200 employees in its Nordic operations during 2019.
