Press release

Skanska has divested land, in Solna, Sweden, for about SEK 300M. The buyer is Specialfastigheter Sverige AB. The transaction will be recorded by Skanska Commercial Development Nordic in the second quarter 2021.

The property Konstnären 2 consists of land together with a building right which in total comprises approximately 16,000 square meters. Skanska and Specialfastigheter Sverige AB have an existing framework agreement regarding the implementation of design and build contracts, which the parties intend to work in accordance with for the development of the Konstnären 2.

The sale of the property is the last piece of the puzzle for Skanska in a major urban development project that has continued for over twenty years. The area Ingenting is now a living neighborhood where the older, yellow brick buildings designed by the architect Gunnar Asplund have been used for offices, hotels, and restaurants. At the same time, several new office buildings and about a thousand new homes have been added to the site.

Skanska is one of the leading construction- and project development companies in the Nordics, with operations in building construction and civil engineering in Sweden, Norway and Finland, and developing residential- and commercial property projects in select home markets. The commercial development stream is also active in Denmark. Skanska had sales of about SEK 66 billion and about 14,800 employees in its Nordic operations during 2020.
