SKANSKA LANDS NEW HIGHWAY ORDER IN THE US

Skanska has landed a new assignment of the gigantic highway extension, The Central Artery, in Boston.

Skanska’s subsidiary Slattery landed the contract together with J.F. White and Perini. The order is valued at USD 380 M whereof Slattery’s portion in this joint venture is 35 percent..

The project includes cut-and-cover tunnels for one kilometer underground highways with nine lanes and ten temporary bridges between North Street and Chardon Street in central Boston.

This is the third contract for Slattery on the USD 8-10 billion redevelopment of Boston’s inner-city highway system. Slattery’s total order value in The Central Artery project now amounts to USD
935 M.
