SKANSKA-OWNED MYRESJÖ TRÄ TO MERGE WITH RÖRVIKSGRUPPEN
Skanska has signed an agreement in principle to merge its sawmill operations within Myresjö Trä with the sawmill division of the exchange-listed (OTC) RörviksGruppen into a new listed sawmill Group based in southern Sweden.
A condition of the merger is that RörviksGruppen split into an engineering unit and a sawmill operation and that both units are listed on the stock exchange.
After the split of operations, the intention is that Myresjö Trä AB will merge with the sawmill operations through a non-cash issue whereby Myresjö AB will hold a 40 percent interest in the new sawmill Group.
The new sawmill Group will have a production capacity of nearly 500,000 m3 annually in eight sawmills and sales of approximately USD 130 million.
The Myresjö Group’s forest holdings, with Boxholm Skogar and subsidiaries, are not affected by the merger.
