Skanska has been contracted to construct a 22,000-m2 extension to the county hospital in Kalmar, in southern Sweden.

Skanska has been contracted to construct a 22,000-m2 extension to the county hospital in Kalmar, in southern Sweden.
The county council real estate unit is investing a total of USD 35 million in this first stage of an expansion of the county hospital.
The new nine-storey hospital building will house the surgical, nursing and maternity wards. Scheduled to begin in November, the work will be completed in March 2000.
