Skanska continues to extend E22

Skanska has been assigned the project to construct the E22 highway between Söderåker and Kalmar, Sweden. The order is valued at SEK 105 million. The customer is the National Road Administration, Southeast Region.

Skanska continues to extend E22

Skanska has been assigned the project to construct the E22 highway between Söderåker and Kalmar, Sweden. The order is valued at SEK 105 million. The customer is the National Road Administration, Southeast Region.

The assignment covers an new 7.5 kilometer stretch of highway. The width will be to 13 meters. The assignment also includes 3.7 kilometers of connecting roads, two interchanges and ten bridges. Work begins in August with completion scheduled for November 2000.

The project is a direct continuation of the 3.5 kilometers stretch, of which half this distance will be four-lane highway, that Skanska Road Southeast is currently constructing. This order is valued at SEK 40 million.

"This new order is very timely, since we will complete the preceding stage in the autumn," says Sten-Ove Nilsson, Manager of Skanska Road Southeast.
