Skanska’s German subsidiary H. Essmann GmbH has signed agreements covering the acquisition of the three German companies eRWA, Beikirch and STG Sicherheitsteknik.

SKANSKA ACQUIRES GERMAN COMPANIESSkanska’s German subsidiary H. Essmann GmbH has signed agreements covering the acquisition of the three German companies eRWA, Beikirch and STG Sicherheitsteknik.

The companies manufacture smoke lids and smoke extraction systems, and have a combined sales of approximately USD 17 M. The transaction is contingent upon approval by the German Fair Trade Commission.

The Essmann Group is a leading supplier of skylight domes and ramps and smoke lids in Germany and France, and is included in Skanska’s Business Area Industry.

The companies acquired, supplement and strengthen Essmann’s product range in fire-prevention equipment for commercial buildings. The products will be marketed by the Essmann sales organization in Germany, France, Poland, the Czech Republic and Hungary.
