Skanska International Civil Engineering has landed a new order in Kenya. The assignment, valued at USD 8 million, involves construction work for a new beer brewery outside Nairobi, the capital city.

Skanska International Civil Engineering has landed a new order in Kenya. The assignment, valued at USD 8 million, involves construction work for a new beer brewery outside Nairobi, the capital city.
The customer is South African Breweries, the world's fourth largest beer brewer and the largest in-dustrial conglomerate in Africa, excluding mining and insurance companies.
Construction, which will begin within a few days, is scheduled to be completed within 13 months.
Furthermore, Skanska has carried out new construction and renovation assignments for the same customer in Tanzania.
Skanska has been established in Kenya since the mid-1970s. Major projects have included the hy-dropower plants in Gitaru and Kiambere and a large number of road and civil engineering projects of varying sizes as well as several assignments for the United Nations' refuge centers.
