SKANSKA DEVELOPS NEW PROPERTY PROJECTS FOR ERICSSON HEWLETT-PACKARD TELECOMMUNICATIONS AB
Skanska is investing nearly SEK 600 million in two new office projects in Gothenburg and Stockholm. The projects have been developed in close cooperation with the tenant, Ericsson Hewlett-Packard Telecommunications AB.
- We are proud of this assignment. Ericsson Hewlett-Packard is a very important customer for us. The transaction is further confirmation of our method of working, both as a project developer and contractor, says Claes Björk, Skanska’s Chief Executive Officer.
In Gothenburg, the investment will be one of the largest during the 1990s. Slightly more than 20,000 sq. m. will be built on a site in Gårda, in central Gothenburg.
In Stockholm, the venture involves Skanska further contributing to develop Kungsholmen, with construction of 12,000 sq. m. near the former St. Göran Children’s Hospital.
Skanska’s project development also results in two major construction projects for Skanska’s building units. About 400 persons will be involved in the worked which begins this summer.
