SKANSKA BUILDS FOR CARLSBERG

Skanska's Danish subsidiary, C.G. Jensen, has been awarded a contract to build the Terminallager Øst warehouse for Carlsberg in the Danish town of Høje Taastrup outside Copenhagen. The contract is worth approximately USD 15 million.

The assignment involves the construction of a terminal warehouse of 27,800 square meters floor space, an office building of approximately 1,100 square meters and the paving of an area of approximately 40,000 square meters. The project is part of measures being taken to increase the efficiency of the Carlsberg and Tuborg distribution operations, and is scheduled to be completed at the end of August 1998.

This is the second time in a short period that C.G. Jensen has won a turnkey construction contract for Carlsberg. In September, C.G. Jensen was commissioned to build a distribution center in Copenhagen. The contract is worth USD 4 million.
