Skanska lands new bridge order

Skanska has been awarded a new large bridge order in Sweden. As part of the new E6 highway on the west coast of Sweden, the Sunningesund Bridge shall be constructed. The bridge will be con-structed as a cable-stayed bridge with a total length of 1,712 meter.
SKANSKA LANDS NEW BRIDGE ORDER
Skanska has been awarded a new large bridge order in Sweden. As part of the new E6 highway on the west coast of Sweden, the Sunningesund Bridge shall be constructed. The bridge will be con-structed as a cable-stayed bridge with a total length of 1,712 meter.
Order sum amounts to USD 100 million. Construction work will start in May 1997 and is due for completion in May 2000.
Through the construction of the Sunningesund Bridge, Skanska strengthens its position as one of the leading bridge construction companies in Scandinavia. Skanska is for the time being involved in construction of the High Coast Bridge and the Öresund Bridge.
