Skanska is constructing the first modern office and business center - Valdemara Center - in Riga, Latvia.
An agreement on financing for the project - an investment for Skanska and the City of Riga of USD 19 M - was signed today between Skanska International Building, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (ERBD) and the Swedish Export Credit Corporation (SEK). The signing took place at the international real estate fair MIPIM in Cannes, France. Similar legal documents are to be signed by the City of Riga.
Skanska International Building and the City of Riga are developing Valdemara Center jointly, which is scheduled for completion in the autumn of 1998.
Valdemara Center will house about 9,000 sqm of floor space for office and shop premises as well as 65-70 parking spaces. The building will be equipped with state-of-the-art communications and climate control systems and will have 24-hour security.
