Skanska lands contract to build plant in U.S. for SEK 400 million
Skanska's U.S. subsidiary Sordoni Skanska Construction Co. has been contracted to construct a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in the U.S. for the worldwide fragrance house Givaudan Roure. The project is valued at USD 50 million (SEK 400 M).

Skanska's U.S. subsidiary Sordoni Skanska Construction Co. has been contracted to construct a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in the U.S. for the worldwide fragrance house Givaudan Roure. The project is valued at USD 50 million (SEK 400 M).
The new facility in Mt. Olive, New Jersey, is scheduled to be completed by the year 2000. It will feature advanced production technology, innovative work processes and quality management systems. The 17,000 square meter center will house manufacturing and distribution operations as well as office and support functions. It will enable Givaudan Roure to meet increased growth projections into the next century, boosting capacity by 50 percent.
Sordoni Skanska Construction Co., the design-builder of the new facility, was cited as being instrumental in realizing the project, in cooperation with the International Trade Center, The Rockefeller Group as well as local and state officials and agencies.
