Skanska to construct multi-purpose hall in Partille, Sweden, for SEK 328 M

Skanska has signed a contract with Partillebo AB for construction of a multi-purpose hall for sports and culture in Partille, Sweden. The contract value is SEK 328 M, which will be included in order bookings for Skanska Sweden for the fourth quarter 2013.

The arena will be constructed in central Partille, with a total area of about 16,100 square meters. There will also be additional buildings of about 800 square meters.

Partille arena will be a flexible property, which easily can be adjusted for different events. When the arena is ready it will also contain offices, conference rooms, a bowling alley and a restaurant.

Work will start immediately, with construction start scheduled for January 2014. The arena will be inaugurated mid-September 2016.

Skanska Sweden is one of Sweden’s largest construction companies, with operations in building and civil-engineering construction. The business unit has approximately 11,000 employees and revenue in 2012 amounted to approximately SEK 30 billion. In Sweden, Skanska is also active in the development of residential construction and commercial premises.
