Skanska to construct section of Southern Link

Skanska has been awarded a contract to construct a traffic facility as part of the Southern Link project in Stockholm. The order was received from the National Road Administration, and amounts to about USD 47 M.

SKANSKA TO CONSTRUCT SECTION OF SOUTHERN LINK

Skanska has been awarded a contract to construct a traffic facility as part of the Southern Link project in Stockholm. The order was received from the National Road Administration, and amounts to about USD 47 M.

The traffic project is part of the most western section of the Southern Link and comprises about 400 meters of highway, with three lanes in each direction divided mainly by concrete tunnels.

The project will be carried out jointly by Skanska’s divisions and subsidiaries Civil Engineering Department, Stabilator and the Stockholm Roads Division. Skanska Teknik is responsible for project engineering.

Work will start immediately, with a construction time estimated at four years.
