NEW SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS NAMED AT SKANSKA - FIRST WOMAN IN GROUP MANAGEMENT

Cecilia Schön has been appointed Senior Vice President Corporate Communications at Skanska, with responsibility for the company's internal and external communications. The Senior Vice President Corporate Communications will be included as a member of Group Management as a consequence of communications issues having become increasingly more central in Skanskas development work.

Cecilia Schön, 41, has served most recently as Senior Vice President Corporate Communications in Trygg-Hansa and was formerly an information manager within Ericsson. She will assume her new position on January 1, 1998. Lennart Hallberg, who is currently head of Corporate Communications at Skanska, will take on with other duties in the Group.

"Skanska will be prioritizing communications issues more strongly than in the past" says Claes Björk, President and CEO of Skanska. "Cecilia has experience from companies with a high rate of change, which is important when we now enter a phase with increased focusing on the customer and internationalization and a more rapid pace in the development of properties and projects. Gaining a woman in Group Management at the same time is clearly an added benefit."
