Skanska sells property in Gothenburg, Sweden, for SEK 420 M
Skanska sells the newly constructed Radisson Blu Riverside Hotel in Gothenburg, Sweden, to the property company Fastighets AB Balder. The building has 265 hotel rooms and is operated by Winn Hotel Group, with the brand Radisson Blu, in a long-term rental agreement. The purchase amount is approximately SEK 420 M and the deal will be recorded in Skanska Sweden in the second quarter 2013. The transfer and payment of the property will also be done in the second quarter.
The property, Lindholmen 39:2, has a leasable area of about 13,300 square meters. The hotel is situated right in the Lindholmen Science Park.
The building will be LEED certified, with the ambition to achieve gold level.
Skanska Sweden is one of Sweden’s largest construction companies, with operations in building and civil-engineering construction. The business unit has approximately 11,000 employees and revenue in 2012 amounted to approximately SEK 30 billion. In Sweden, Skanska is also active in the development of residential construction and commercial premises.
