Skanska to build a bridge across Stäksundet

Skanska has received an order to build a 300-meter long arched bridge of concrete across Stäksundet between Kallhäll and Kungsängen on the Mälaren Railway in Stockholm's northwestern suburbs. The client is the Swedish Railways Administration. The project is worth SEK 130 million.

SKANSKA TO BUILD A BRIDGE ACROSS STÄKSUNDET

Skanska has received an order to build a 300-meter long arched bridge of concrete across Stäksundet between Kallhäll and Kungsängen on the Mälaren Railway in Stockholm's northwestern suburbs. The client is the Swedish Railways Administration. The project is worth SEK 130 million.

The double-track railway bridge will have a free span of 126 meters and a 16-meter vertical clearance. The project will start in the near future and will be completed in the autumn of 2000. At peak operations, slightly more than 40 people will be involved in the construction.
