Skanska secures two bridge projects in the US for SEK 400 M
Skanska subsidiary Tidewater Skanska was apparent low bidder for two separate bridge projects in the US. Tidewater Skanska is to construct a double leaf bascule bridge for the US Army Corps of Engineers across the Albermarle and Chesapeake Canal, in Chesapeake, Virginia. The canal is part of the Intracoastal Waterway. In addition, Tidewater Skanska was also apparent low bidder for a project to construct a highway bridge in Radford, Virginia.

Skanska secures two bridge projects in the US for SEK 400 M
Skanska subsidiary Tidewater Skanska was apparent low bidder for two separate bridge projects in the US. Tidewater Skanska is to construct a double leaf bascule bridge for the US Army Corps of Engineers across the Albermarle and Chesapeake Canal, in Chesapeake, Virginia. The canal is part of the Intracoastal Waterway. The order is valued at USD 18 M, approximately SEK 183 M.
In addition, Tidewater Skanska was also apparent low bidder for a project to construct a highway bridge in Radford, Virginia. The order is valued at USD 21 M, approximately SEK 214 M, and the customer is the Virginia Department of Transportation.
Tidewater Skanska is part of the Skanska USA Civil business unit and operates primarily in the southeastern and southwestern states.
