Skanska awarded surgical center contract in San Antonio for USD 80 M, about SEK 516 M
Skanska has signed a design/bid/build contract to construct the second phase of the Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center project at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. The contract value is USD 80 M, about SEK 516 M, which will be included in order bookings for Skanska USA Building in the fourth quarter. The customer is the United States Army Corps of Engineers.
The project includes the addition of a 27,700 square meter building that will provide medical care to members of the armed services. Construction for the project will begin in November 2011 and is expected to be completed by September 2013.
