SKANSKA DEVELOPS NEW MAJOR PROJECT IN POLAND
Skanska has been appointed by the City of Warsaw to develop another property on Aleja Jana Pawla II avenue in the Polish capital.
Warsaw officials chose Skanska's bid in international competition for development and construc-tion of a building complex comprising more than 90,000 square meters of office space, hotel accommodations, conference facilities and retail outlet stores. The project is called Atrium South and will border on its south side with Skanska's other development project in Warsaw, the Atrium Business Centre, a four-stage office and business complex comprising 80,000 square meters, about half of which is finished and fully rented. Construction of the third stage, Atrium Plaza, has been started.
Construction of Atrium South will involve four stages, with initial groundbreaking scheduled in the beginning of 1998. The entire project will generate new construction contracts valued at approxi-mately USD 130 M.
