SKANSKA LANDS ALL-TIME LARGEST ORDER IN U.S.
Skanska has landed its largest order ever – a stretch of highway in Boston, valued at USD 398 M.
Skanska’s U.S. subsidiary Slattery landed the contract for another segment of the gigantic highway extension called "The Central Artery" in Boston, together with three other companies. Slattery is sponsoring the consortium and accounts for one third of the project amount.
The new contract includes both complex multilevel intersections and tunnel constructions.
"We are indeed pleased about the order and we consider it as further proof of Skanska’s competi-tiveness in the infrastructure segment, even here in the U.S.," comments Claes Björk, Senior Vice President, responsible for Skanska USA.
The order raises Skanska’s total stock of orders in the U.S. to USD 3 billion.
