Axel Wenblad has been named Group Environmental Manager at Skanska, responsible for overseeing the Group's comprehensive environmental issues.

Axel Wenblad is 49 year old and has recently left the County Administrative Board of Västra Götaland where he has served as the Environmental Director since 1994. Prior to this, Axel Wenblad was Chief Environmental Officer at Volvo, where he coordinated the environmental work of the Volvo Group. He is also very experienced in international environmental work. Axel Wenblad will assume his new position on May 25, 1999 and succeed Ingela Bendrot, who left Skanska to become Deputy Chief Executive Officer at the City of Stockholm Executive Office.
