SKANSKA ACQUIRES 208,000 SQUARE METERS OF LAND ON LIDINGÖ IN STOCKHOLM
Skanska has acquired 208,000 square meters of undeveloped seafront land in the Gåshaga district of Lidingö in Stockholm from Svenska Shell.
Between 125 and 135 plots are to be used to build freestanding single-family houses, most of them with a view over the sea approach to Stockholm. It is estimated that work on the project, with an estimated construction cost of SEK 300 M, will commence during 1999.
The area in question has been used for industrial operations since 1923 and is now in the process of being transformed by Shell into land suitable for the building of attractive residential properties situated close to the sea.
