Skanska renovates 627 houses in Denmark
Skanska’s Danish subsidiary, C.G. Jensen, has secured five new orders in Denmark with a total value of USD 40 M.

Skanska’s Danish subsidiary, C.G. Jensen, has secured five new orders in Denmark with a total value of USD 40 M.
The largest order, worth USD 31 M, is for the extensive renovation of 627 single-storey houses in Ballerup, outside Copenhagen. Renovation work starts in November and is expected to be completed by the beginning of year 2001. The project is being carried out in a consortium with the Danish company, H. Hoffmann & Sønner A/S, in which C.G. Jensen’s participation will amount to USD 17 M.
The other orders include the building of a laboratory in Ballerup, the rebuilding of a warehouse into administrative and production premises, and the renovation of apartments. In addition, C.G. Jensen has been commissioned to test-build 36 apartments in two- and three-storey buildings constructed out of timber in accordance with the so-called Casa Nova concept.
