Skanska provided design, permitting and construction services of the 110,000-SF cruise terminal to support simultaneous disembarkation and embarkation operations for the largest cruise ships in existence. The project also included modifications and upgrades to the surrounding and adjacent sites to further expand cruise operations.

The cruise terminal structure utilizes deep foundations, a 14” structural slab on grade, 8’ high CMU block walls, structural steel, storefront assembly, standing seam roof assemblies and architectural metal wall panels to complete the façade. To the east of the terminal is the central energy plant with an embark and disembark bridge that starts inside and extends 200’ from the southeast corner of the terminal building.
