Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) is one of the world’s leading children’s hospitals.

We are working with the hospital to create clinical and research buildings that will enable it to advance the care of more children.

Supporting the hospital’s vision

Our work on the partial deconstruction and reconstruction of an existing building has created the Premier Inn Clinical Building and completed the Mittal Children’s Medical Centre.

This supports the hospital’s vision of providing modern facilities for acute in-patients, where a parent or carer can stay by their child’s bedside in comfort.

The building provides:

  • 116 beds
  • Two integrated operating theatres
  • A post-anaesthesia care unit

All of the redevelopment work took place above a working hospital environment. We partially demolished four storeys, rebuilt and created five new levels on the remaining structure and created a link with current facilities. This has made the hospital more efficient, as internal journeys through the building are shorter.

The new facility was officially opened by Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge in January 2017.
