Metropolitan Police - Facilities Management

  • Met Police

Security and sustainability

Our facilities management services for the Metropolitan Police cover approximately 330 buildings in 250 locations. The buildings are spread throughout every borough of London north of the Thames, with one building south of the river. The buildings are used by over 47,000 people each day.

Helping London stay safe

We help the Met keep Londoners safe from crime and terrorist threat, by ensuring facilities are available 24/7.

We are responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance services for the force’s mechanical, electrical and public health assets.

Smart and efficient

By being efficient and working smarter, we deliver services at the lowest possible cost. This allows the customer to direct more money into front-line policing.

Ensuring the buildings are well-maintained, safe and secure helps the Met Police better serve its community. This contributes to a safer, more sustainable future and helps to build a better society

Energy-efficient lighting

In 2015, we helped save the Metropolitan Police over £18,000 by introducing energy-efficient lighting schemes.

We contribute to the local community in London by participating in careers days for young adults, giving work experience opportunities for local students and buying materials from local suppliers, all of which contribute to a more sustainable future.
