What does the ZeroCO2 certification mean?

The certification was developed by the Sweden Green Building Council, which was founded in 2009 by Skanska and twelve other companies, with the aim of driving sustainability forwards in the construction industry.

To build with zero carbon dioxide emissions means that the climate footprint is brought down during the buildings lifetime by compensating for all of the emissions from the construction phase. For example, by installing solar panels on the roof to generate energy over time. All emissions must be compensated for within 50 years.
