State road No. 9 is one of the main transportation routes in Poland; it connects Radom and Polish-Slovakian border crossing in Barwinek. As the road was damaged by heavy traffic, it required renovating. The works executed by Skanska in 2004 and 2005 included a 5-km section between Widełka and Głogów Małopolski.
