Duke Medicine - Hospital Addition for Surgery

$56.4 million, 130,000-SF addition and renovation to meet the increasing surgery volumes and to upgrade the size of the operating rooms to accommodate state of the art equipment. The project consists of four phases with some overlap. The phases include a 75,000-SF addition to the hospital, a two-pad helistop, a 39,000-SF renovation of office space to create Prep/PACU bays and a waiting room, a 10,000-SF renovation to create four operating rooms, and finally, a 6,000-SF renovation to create seven new operating rooms adjacent to those created in the previous phase.
