Molecular Medicine Research Building
$57 million, 125,000-SF bio-medical research building, which included the demolition of a five-story building. The new nine-story facility is located on an extremely tight site and consists of a vivarium floor for keeping and raising living animals and plants under their natural conditions, six floors of research laboratories, the main floor with offices and auditorium, and a mechanical penthouse. The six laboratory floors include office, conference spaces, a wet laboratory and lab support areas. The lab support includes cold rooms, tissue culture labs, instrumentation or equipment rooms, and a glasswash. The project is seeking LEED Certification.
