Berkley Bridge

Skanska completed the $71M project which involved construction of a double-leaf bascule bridge carrying I-264 over the Elizabeth River, construction of a major bridge interchange, rehabilitation of the existing bridge and bascule leafs and replacement of the existing bridge deck. Construction included setting two 650-ton preassembled structural steel bascule leafs, with required machinery and controls.
