Sundtkvartalet

  • Photomontage of Sundtkvartalet

The new head office of Skanska Norway is a 5-story office building in central Oslo. It meets the Norwegian passive house standards and is certified as a BREEAM-NOR Excellent building.

The project was a joint venture between Skanska CDN and Entra, and was constructed by Skanska Norway. In addition to Skanska Norway, Tidal, IBM, Manpower and Mattilsynet also have offices in Sundtkvartalet. The building also includes a restaurant, 2 large atria and a multipurpose sports hall – which is used by local schools in the area.

The offices have large and flexible floors with high ceiling and large windows, which provides good natural daylighting.

The first floor is the heart in the building, and is designed to give a pleasant atmosphere. The floor includes a reception and a service center, café, cafeteria, a lounge with a fireplace and comfortable seating both inside and outside.

Skanska Norway’s office accounts for 25 percent of the building and covers 2-stories. The office is designed for 400 people, and has an Activity Based Workplace environment, giving the employees the opportunity to choose the working environment that best suits their needs from day to day.
