Our role in society

We take an active part in several international initiatives and organizations to advance within sustainability.

We have been a signatory of the United Nations’ Global Compact since 2001 and continues to support the Ten Principles, relating to human rights, environment and anti-corruption. We support the Paris Agreement and the rights of all people as described in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights adopted by the United Nations and in the conventions of the International Labor Organization. We also follows the guiding policies of Transparency International and applies the Precautionary Principle.

The materiality assessment and stakeholder engagement guide us in shaping our sustainability agenda.

Green Building Councils (GBCs)

We support national GBCs, which are part of the WorldGBC network, in our home markets. GBC members typically represent all built environment stakeholders within their country. Whilst their objectives may differ, the mission of all GBCs is to drive market transformation of the building industry through member consensus and cooperation.
