Skanska one of Sweden's top brands on LinkedIn
Skanska has been named a Leading International Content Marketer in Sweden by social network LinkedIn. This is quite an achievement, considering we only developed our strategy and activities for this channel less than two years ago.
The survey, which is managed by LinkedIn, has looked at how members on LinkedIn engage with content and has named Skanska, together with Ericsson and Spotify, as the top Swedish brands in this leading platform for professional networking.
Skanska has been on LinkedIn for a number of years, but it was only in August 2013 that we decided on a strategy and active presence in this social media channel. Our main purpose of being on LinkedIn is to listen and engage with various stakeholders and the public about our people and projects around building the society of tomorrow.
A strong Skanska presence
Through a global account we post stories about our projects, people and values from around the Skanska world to currently some 123,000 followers. The account is used and managed by Skanska AB, Sweden, Norway and UK. There are also a number of market specific LinkedIn accounts, for example Skanska USA with over 43,000 followers, which adds to a strong overall presence.
But the evaluation is not of the content itself but how people engage with it, in terms of liking, commenting and sharing it, which means all our colleagues who follow Skanska on LinkedIn have played a big part in this commendation. So thank you all for engaging!
LinkedIn – the largest professional social network
LinkedIn is a business-oriented social networking service. It was launched in 2003 and currently has more than 364 million users in more than 200 countries and territories. The survey looked at 11 countries and one global list, which is topped by Microsoft, followed by Forbes and Harvard Business Review.
